We’re Dean and Daniella.

He was the teenage entrepreneur from Plett who dreamt up an online bookstore as a side hustle. He bought the domain name and everything.

I was the increasingly frustrated Joburg high school kid who kept running out of books to read (and the money necessary to buy more books).

Ten years later, here we are.

Red Books is all about the books, really. We want to make it easy to find your next great read. Affordable too. Whether you only read books at Balito in December or have a tweenager ploughing through The Diary of a Wimpy Kid faster than you can keep up; whether you like a good old John Grisham classic or are more into Chinua Achebe; whether you have read every Virginia Woolf in existence or really just want to step through a wardrobe into wonderful, snowy Narnia – we’re here for you.

Dean will say it’s all about the backend, the bitbucket, the who knows what.
